A lot of people blame the media for their education. They all seem to realize later in life that the images of women the 90210 TV show portrayed were what contributed to their present taste in men.
I talked to them about their poor choice of men and their failing relationships. It is very self-centered to think that way of course, but a lot of these girls blame the media for this mentality and not take accountability. They care less about the kind of job or passions the man has, and more about whether or not the man can support her. And when they grow up, they will look for their prince, this boyfriend who will cater to their needs. It doesn't enter their young minds that they would also have to take care of themselves. The usually grow up thinking that the prince will take care of everything.
